Thanks again, everyone. Looks as if I might have a bit of fun when I move. My friend e-mailed me to ask how much film I have left. Nine rolls. Shooting 4:1, that will make a five-minute film. He says that since the house has a Lovecraftian feel to it, and the Portland H.P. Lovecraft Festival is coming up, we should make a B&W short and submit it. What would _really_ be fun would be to get some film gigs. Not a lot happening up there, but I have a 16mm Eclair NPR that’s just itching to be used! (Hm… I seem to remember seeing a little TV studio in Bellingham. Maybe they would have a position open?) Know what else would be fun? Working at Trader Joe’s. I’ve heard they pay decent wages, and I love the stuff they sell. Too bad they don’t have one in Bellingham! (Okay, everybody… Call or write to Trader Joe’s and lobby for a store up there! Hey, even if I don’t work there I still want to _shop_ there!) ---

I’ve been wanting to live in the PNW since I was 12, and in Washington for at least three or four years. The trouble was that I didn’t have money to live on, and that I had bills. Then I had the money and the bills were lower, but it’s sure hard to leave a good job! I thought about quitting, but two years ago they said that some of us would be laid off. If we didn’t quit, we’d get a renention bonus. Well, we weren’t laid off! (They paid out 50% of the bonus to us anyway.) I had already started looking for a house, so I was going to leave eventually anyway. I _had_ wanted to stay until the end of October, or even finish out the year. But this is definitely the push I need to get me up north. So the door is open. I just need to step through. 🙂 ---

Hey **Johnny,** I’m sorry to hear about your job loss. Sending you best wishes for a good job offer. On the other hand, you’ll finally get to move up here “God’s country”; the land of fine coffee, fine, fresh food, and best of all incredible views all around. Although I don’t like the traffic in Seattle and further north (good ol’ Puyallup/South Hill suits me just fine); it’s still a good place to be. As cliche as this sounds, things happen for a reason. I speak from experience. As it turned out in every situation, something better happened. I’m sure something better is just around the corner for you. Best of luck to you. ---

Hey Johnny, you might want to try Collection [Industry.com](http://Industry.com). They do some major advertising for the Portfolio Scoring Companies. They have their own job listings. I wish you much luck. But it sounds like with your talent, you’ll get something in no time. ---

Thanks, **Nvme77**. I checked out the site. Only one listing for the Northwest. It’s a Director’s position. In my recent job, that was two levels up. OTOH, the salary starts at $50,000 which wasn’t that much more than I was making. Not enough information on the site to tell if I’m qualified, and no e-mail contact.
