Now, **AwSnappity** , that’s just egg paranoia. I think you’re being very silly. There will always be chickens. Why, there are so many chickens now that we can eat some and let some live to supply us with eggs. Chickens are plentiful, **AwSnappity**. Well, A - I have a feeling that scrambled eggs will feature for my eating pleasure this evening B - very colour prejudiced thing - I shall report it to the authorities at once - all that stuff about how _white_ eggs are! Equal Opps for Eggs, I say! 🙂 c - apart from the tune getting stuck in my head, I think I’m also stuck with that line" popular and perfect and so complete in every way" How much more tautologous _could_ they make it? d - the tune - hmm - well dunno about anyone else, but I have a cunning plan - I’nm going to go back to the weebl site and get “Magical Trevor” stuck in my head instead. At least I’m used to that being stuck in head. 🙂 E - why didn’t it have death-wish eggs doing kamikaze leaps onto the floor as soon as the fridge door is opened? Now that would add a dark touch of realism! ☹ And, often, annoyance and hunger. ---

OK, silly me for hitting submit too soon… Of course, the column I linked doesn’t preclude the notion that “…local eggs are fresh” but, wasn’t this a fairly widespread ad campaign? According to Euty’s article above, brown eggs are laid by chickens in three states. I heard the jingle here in CT, and we have plenty of egg farms here - all of which produce white eggs and distribute them locally, so I can’t imagine eggs from Rhode Island are fresher than the ones I get from the local egg farm via the supermarket. OK my point is: How widespread _was_ this campaign? Did people in California see this ad too? ---
