I love my laptop... also Suffolk University and Boston

The sad thing is, they’re right. While it takes only five minutes to get to a gas station and a few more to get to a grocery store, the SoVa equivalent of a mall is at least 45 minutes away. In another state. I haven’t seen a Neiman-Marcus or Macy’s in this general area yet.

It is a culture shock, I tell you, moving from the DC area to here.

Would it make you feel better, 'punha, if I told you that parts of western Pennsylvania feel even smaller than SW VA? (I was driving up through there going “What have I gotten myself into?” The goal was to move to a bigger city for college, but it didn’t work. My consolation is that I’m far closer to a large city than I am here)

Heh, and I’m not surprised at all that everyone drives to Kingsport. My dad’s from Big Stone and he has all these stories of driving down to Kingsport during high school and college to cruise Broad Street. Maybe I’ve seen all of you and not known it!

If nothing else, we drive to Kingsport because the roads there consistently have more than two lanes.

Total.

Being stuck behind a tow truck towing a tractor going uphill is not my idea of fun.

I go to college in BSG, at MECC. Everybody knows everybody around here so we’ve probably met and never knew it! Aand I have the same goal about going to college in a big city but I’m gonna be sure to make sure the city I go to is REALLY big! (Chicago, Boston, big like dat!) I’ve had about enough of SoVa as can take.
