I love Regina Spektor! Give me more!

When I saw Regina perform last year, it was an outdoor show during a rainstorm. She walked out with a bucket, and dumped it over her head before she started the first song.

Oh Regina, I wish you’d find my wallet…
Also, I’ve gotten around to listening to Feist’s album The Reminder, and it easily blows away her first three albums. The songs are starting to breathe and move with a purpose, with a dash of flair and sprinkle of weird. She’s definitely got her own style, but I can finally see why Pandora would dare compare her to Regina…

Regina’s amazing live. I’m seeing her for a third time this June, at Bonnaroo – where I also saw her the first time, in 2007 – and I’m as excited to see her a third time as I am to see Tori Amos for the first time at the same event.

Another vote for Tori Amos as a key influence.

But if you’re looking for more, you might like Keren Ann (her stage name). This take on her “Not Going Anywhere” is probably as good a start as any…

You might like Joanna Newsom.
