I agree with that, **Taxi**! I can hardly keep up with the regular one, and trying to catch up on last week’s on Monday…well, it ain’t happening! Busy as usual. It’s better than the alternative, I guess! Last night’s din-din was one of my faves. Baked lemon-pepper salmon, wild rice and aspergrass… yum! Tonight will be chicken livers, egg noodles and spinach. He’s in the same rehab unit as VWife. Busted up pretty good, but he said there’s about a 75% chance he’ll fly again. Nice guy, and nowhere near as cocky as most military pilots I’ve met. ---

I have a list of downtown errands to run, but I think they need intensive route-planning and lunch-place-deciding. It’s becoming a running joke with me here at our District Office. When I have something ‘admin-ish’ to do, and have a deadline and cannot be disturbed, I abandon my own office, which though comfortable, leaves me open to every form of interruption known to man, and come to work in an empty office/conference room/classroom here. My friend just said she’s going to get me a Waldo shirt, so everyone can play “Where’s **MBG**?” Ok, back to the salt mines. ---

Our pot roast turned out pretty tasty last night. I think maybe it needed a little more salt, but otherwise a nice crock pot dindin. Augh. Too many papers to grade! And am totally stressed out about money. I guess I’ve lived a rather sheltered life; I’ve never had to worry about making ends meet on my own until now. I am determined not to ask my parents for more, but it’s hard when I have to worry about my brother as well. Who has no job. And is lazy as all hell. I really shouldn’t stress. Everything works out in the end. I just need to be more economical. I mean, it’s not that I lead an extravagent lifestyle by any means, but I could still cut more corners. It’s just hard getting used to an income that is less than half of what I used to make. :mad: ---

Oh, and I think my students stole all y’all’s pronouns. I swear, every second word in their essays have been underlined with the comment “unclear antecedent” scribbled under them. Later shortened to “un. ant.” ---

Morning, all. I’ve been up for quite a while – I decided I’ve been sleeping too late, even if I do stay up till the wee hours, so I set myself an alarm this morning. I even managed to get up shortly after it went off, instead of just turning it off and going back to sleep like I wanted to. So I’m all caffeinated and being a good diligent person this morning. Or something like that. Hugs, yays, boos, and “don’t forget to your exercises” to all where appropriate! I got nuttin’ else too exciting this morning. It’s a pretty day, the Idiots have already been out and had a good bark at an Evil Attack Squirrel, and all’s right with the world. Or something, Back to work! ---

No interest, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t come with strings attached…\ What springs to life with application of cold water? I missed that. [/QUOTE] Dropping your plane into the ocean tends to knock those guys down a peg or two. Besides, he not surrounded by his peers, so he can act like a real person. (Why yes, I’ve spent a lot of time around Navy pilots, and wasn’t impressed with their social skills on the whole.) **Haze** I am usually very quiet. But can be loud if the company demands/enjoys it. And if the kids aren’t in the house. ---

In spite of whining about money, I am really glad I chose to stop working at seven and a bit months. I’m getting more and more distracted by the kidlet kicking, less mobile, and more difficult to squeeze past. 🙂 And I feel like I have a million things to do before Christmas. Especially stockpiling sleep. It’s worth eating more beans and rice and peanut butter sandwiches. I’ve just stared at the Maternity Benefits Employment Insurance page a bit more, and I think I’ve collated all the necessary documents for applying. I get 15 weeks maternity leave, and 35 weeks parental leave. I’ve just got to call and ask if I apply for all of them at the same time, or apply for Parental after Maternity runs out. I hope I can do it all at once. In fifteen weeks I’ll have a month old baby and my brain will have broken. I don’t think I’ll be able to fill out government forms. I barely can now. I stare at them and wonder about the ambiguous wording. ---

Heh. Well, well, well… I had a bit of a melt-down this morning. It started when my mom started asking me stupid questions about going to the lawyer next week. And ended up with me not quite sure if I was going to get out of my car while stuck in traffic and jump off of the high level bridge that I was on. Anyways, though, I guess I’m better now (no bridge jumping for me) and the ugly truth is out. My parents now know just exactly how much debt running a business whilst being sick and also whilst partially supporting their behinds has cost. It’s not pretty. I guess we’re going to try to all work together to figure it out. I suppose that this should make me happy. I do feel that some of the weight has been lifted from me, but mostly I just feel tired and want a nap. So, **BooFae** , I’d be intersted in being entertained, never have seen a smoldering golf student before. And, Haze and company, pass the generic mac and cheese. ---

Oy, everything just hit the fan at work – _mountains_ of work that’s being requested daily, including chunks of what I’ve been working on. So I suspect I will be fairly scarce this week, if things go as crazy as I’m afraid they will. Money is nice; I just hope I can have a little sleep in the process! **{{{Shadow}}}** Keep us posted on how things turn out with the mole. I am beyond envious of your maternity leave, **LiLi**. You Canucks are so sensible about that! We can take leave, but few U.S. companies offer more than a couple or three months paid at most, and anything beyond that ends up being unpaid. That’s why I quit working altogether when I had Young Tiger; if we were going to be broke, at least I’d be raising my own kids whilst broke rather than having some minimum wage day care worker doing it! I I’ll join you guys in the store brand mac & cheese. There have been many, many times in my life when funds were tight, including now – even though we make decent money, the cost of living around here (housing in particular) is just _insane_. So we’re always pinching pennies. That’s where Papa Tigs’ willingness to be a _serious_ bargain shopper for groceries is so helpful; I’m sure we get far more bang for our grocery buck than if I were doing the buying, since I tend to just get what I want where it’s easiest. I spent enough years making lists and counting pennies! So I do understand. Back to the salt mines. ---

My NP was \*delighted \* to get a hold of me again, so I had to do all my labs again, get my flu shot, a lecture on exercising more, an appointment for dermatology for the mole, which coincides with jury duty, so I also got a letter excusing me from jury duty the day of the appointment, and a prescription for Maxalt(?) for migraine. She said the mole-thing is probably nothing serious, but she’s sending me to dermatology to be sure. I was clever and skipped breakfast, because I knew she’d want to do all my labs. Saves me an extra trip back to the hospital. They took an awful lot of blood. Why do they need so much? And then I had to pee in a cup. I hate that. /whine They actually had a couple of lab results completed by the time I got back to the office, which is nice on one hand, and on the other, well, I don’t actually understand some of them, and Google is \*not \* your friend in those cases. But I’ll wait until they’re all back before I freak out. ---

Howdy Y’all! Yays, boos, hugs, congrats, feel betters all around as appropriate. I’m up! Actually I was in bed right at eight this mornin’ meanin’ I came home, took a shower and went beddy bye cause I was tahred. No real reason for tahrdness cause work has been pretty mundane and uninteresting as of late. I’m thinkin’ the change in weather is makin’ me want to go into hibernation. I feel that way when the weather cools down. What? After all, I _am_ a bear! 😃 I’m makin’ lasagna for dinner. Ok, Stouffer’s made it I’m just cookin’ it. However, it does involve me turnin’ on the oven and watchin’ it and all so it’s just like cookin’. So There! 😛 I have some good Eyetalian type bread which I will cut in thick slices, rub garlic all over and top with fresh grated parmesan then pop under the broiler. YUM!!! I bought a nice green bag sallit at the store so’s veggies can be had. I’m all veggie conscious like that. So, what’s everybody else up to? ---
