I tested for 5th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo at the end of June. Got my results recently; I promoted. I got to “exercise” my new rank the other night when I was a guest judge at a testing with people trying to make 3rd Degree Black Belt. Our regulations state that there must be at least two judges 5th Degree or higher on the panel, and I got to be half of the promotional authority. Life is good. At least until I start learning the form for my new rank. I’ve seen people do it; I think it requires dislocating my spine in at least three places. I’ll find out shortly 😃 ---
