I go to the pool pretty frequently so I recognize most of the regulars. Two of them are a couple of Pakistani men who I see there pretty much every time I go. I’ve never spoken to them myself but I’ve heard them speaking quite a bit. They can both speak English but have strong accents that I find hard to understand and when they speak to each other it’s always in Urdu. So today I’m sitting in the hot tub with those two men and two other older white men. The two white guys start talking about “those damn foreigners”. They’re going on quite loudly about “I have to work my whole life for everything and all they have to do is come to this country and they get medical and dental and…”. I looked at the Pakistani men and they were just sitting there, quietly listening. I tried to give the white guys the evil eye but they were so caught up in their rant that they wouldn’t look my way. After about 3 minutes I said “guys! come on!”. They both looked at me and said “what?!” So I said "do you really think it’s appropriate to be having a conversation like that with these two gentlemen sitting _right here_? So they started to say “well they should hear what…” But then the Pakistani guys got up and left and then the white guys got up and left, muttering away about “damn Liberals”. So then I was alone in the hot tub so I floated around in the current. If there’s nobody else in it, it spins you around in a circle. I assume they are speaking Urdu because I looked up the languages of Pakistan and it said that the languages are Urdu and English. But they just sound like my aunts mother who speaks Punjabi. ---

When I was getting changed into my swimsuit there was a Down Syndrome girl in the change room who said to her mom “I have to poo!” So her mom took her to the stall and she pooped, stinking up the entire changing room. At first I was a bit grossed out but then I realized that I was VERY glad that she used the toilet. ---
