I’m not sure why the pile-up is allowed in IMHO as this isn’t The Pit, but I have a feeling that Dopers wouldn’t be piling on the OP if he hadn’t said ‘negro’. ---

I don’t know why this is in IMHO in the first place. Are we supposed to express our opinions on the OP’s sanity? ETA: I guess he did say something about wanting some more cameras and shit- I think it kind of got lost in between the frothing and the death threats. ---

It’s “pile on” 2. There’s no such thing. “Pile on” is a term used by people who don’t like the fact that an unpopular action or opinion gets criticized. Unless you have some magic number of people who are allowed to disagree with crazy op. 3. The “negro” thing doesn’t particularly bother me–I’m a little embarrassed for him, the way you’d be embarrassed by seeing a grown man who’s drunk pissing in his pants, but that’s about it. The fact that Bullitt here came screaming out of his backyard, ready to kill the woman who (by his own admission had slowed down (presumably to stop) and then proceeded to engage in a high-speed chase through a residential neighborhood? That’s kinda what concerns me more. ---

That’s a contributing factor, but for me it’s just a bizarre and somewhat scary OP. The title says **Ducati** is so angry he may “actually go insane.” The OP says that maybe he should kill himself. Those things would typically garner Doper sympathy. The problem is that he comes off as bad as the people who made he angry, and more dangerous. His video system makes him seem like an obsessive paranoid. His known fondness for guns and his remark about killing someone if they invaded his home aren’t odd in themselves, but combined with his OP they become flashing red lights. So, he comes off like a threatening person who may well need professional help. Hence the thread’s strangeness. I’ve think I’ve noticed good posts by \*\*Ducati \*\*in the past, but this one pushes them out of mind. GusNSpot’s step into unintelligibility was frosting on the cake. The race reference wasn’t entirely gratuitous because race turned out to be part of the story. ---

You’d think a guy who’s got Pentagon-level security features would have heard of a little thing called an invisible fence. They work great for little dogs. To add on to the dog-owner thing, I get that sometimes dogs can be crafty and get out even when the owner has taken reasonable precautions to keep them in. What I don’t get is going completely insane with rage at a passing motorist who accidentally runs over one of your animals, when you know damn well that the animals shouldn’t have been in the street in the first place. I understand being very emotional in that situation, but the over-the-top rage at someone who didn’t do anything wrong other than to drive down the street at the wrong moment, I don’t understand. I also think the dash cam and the in-house video surveillance system are beyond creepy and weird. And no, you do not go around referring to people as “Large Angry Negro.” What the fuck. This is not something anyone should have to be told. ---

I don’t have any pets. I never have. The ones I had as a kid really belonged to someone else in the family. But this is a board with a new cat or dog thread every week. I guess I was just surprised. What would YOU do if someone hit your dog and kept going? ---
