Sheetal is a given name I’m familiar with. I can see it being spelled as “Shital.” The family name “Dikshit” (also spelled “Dixit” or “Dikkhit”) is also one I’m familiar with. ---

For the record, I believe the poster who said they know a “Latrina”. I dont know one, but I totally buy that. Rings true and fits the criteria of a lot of ghetto names I know. ---

The Snopes article that several people have said to check on a few of these names lists it as ‘Undetermined’, not ‘False’. Just pointing that out. I actually have a friend who has legally changed his name to a ‘l33t’ version of his nickname- there are definitely bizzare names out there. He’s actually a really nice guy, just has a truly weird sense of humour. ---

Someone can literally name their kid La-sha _today._ There is no such thing as being 100 percent certain that no human will ever name their kid La-sha ever. The fact that the La-sha has obviously made the rounds as an obvious urban legend is enough evidence for me to dismiss it. ---

I just wish to go on record that I can officially verify via court records any name I put forth here (except for Eunuch. I had him as a patient myself, but can no longer access official records on him. I can verify his mom Philistine, but not him.) I just want to say that many years ago, I went to school with a guy named Flavio LaMorticella. It was a melifluous and beautiful and weird name, and if he’s on this board (highly unlikely) he can verify it. And the tuba player in our band was named Peter Harder. ---
