# I miss the EEK emoji. Is it gone?

With the recent forum platform change, is the old eek emoji now gone? I miss it. I can’t even find an image of it. I just searched images, but my google fu, it fails me.
I miss :eek: !

There’s a smiley face icon in the toolbar on the top of the reply text box. Or, if you know the name of an emoji, you can just put it between two colons, like this: :emoji\_name:. Finally, some old fashioned smileys get automatically converted, like `:)` becomes 🙂

Giraffe has a collection of them too.
One thing to remember, folks: Animated smilies are forbidden here. Last I recall seeing the rules, they are a warnable offense and (I’m not sure) maybe even a bannable offense!

I didn’t know this thread continued.
I put in a regular smilie 🙂 and that opens up the menu to see the other smilies. If I don’t need the original smilie, then I delete it.

Also, if I start tying :explo… the board brings up the appropriate smilie.
