I moved!

Now I have a cozy little 1 1/2 on the Plateau. It’s cool. I like the colour scheme (dark), but the last guy who lived here was an absolute pig and didn’t clean anything (and this is from a noted slob myself, so you know it’s GOTTA be bad). Anyway, after my dad and brother helped me move in, we found out that the sinks and bathtub were completely clogged - my dad, the amateur plumber, spent most of the afternoon successfully unclogging them.

Now I have to call my best friend and have him over for supper. Ciao!

Bright Blessing! Much luck in your new home.

Congratulations!

How did your dad unclog the drain? We’ve had hydrochloric acid sitting in the bathtub drain all afternoon, and zip. We tried the snake, and two types of plungers.

We think the clog might be paint chips from a recent renovating project. (Hubby said he covered the drain before he started scraping, but I don’t think he did.)

And what are ya having for supper?

New places are great – so many possibilities. Enjoy.

…it wouldn’t help galvanized if someone reads this. Sodium hydroxide is usually safer…

The morning after I moved into my first apartment in college, I took a shower and found the water didn’t want to go down the drain. I investigated, and discovered a wad of hair in the drain that wouldn’t compress to less than a four-inch ball–that’s just what I could reach.

Needless to say, Drano went on my list of moving essentials after that.
