Just take it as a joke, I did. No reason to get upset. It was true, but it is true of most interests outside of Sports and that silly show American Idle.

(I guess I get touchy about this having been teased in real life).
Although none of my family has read the Lord of the Rings, most (if not all) have seen the movies. My mother and one brother attempted to read the books but couldn’t get through them. While I love the books (much more than the movies), there are many who don’t have any interest in them, the movies are the same.
I think there’s no big deal about it, there are people who think I’m odd in that I have no interest in American Idol.
