Actually, no. If there’s a room to shower nearby, I can usually think of another way to relieve the “stress” 😉 I was just wondering whether anyone who “needed a cold shower” ever actually _took one_! Or is this just one of those things people say but never do? And no, I don’t mean because it was a hot day! ---

I remember my father putting my sister under a cold shower once, when she was about 5 years old. She was crying so hard she got completely hysterical - you know how kids sometimes do that, and it takes something drastic to snap them out of it? This was one of these instances. So instead of slapping her or something, he just turned on the ice cold shower and pushed her into the spray 🙂 Needless to say, it had its effect, and little sis was sleeping like a rose ten minutes later, after being thoroughly dried off and changed. ---

I think it’s one of those things that is talked about but never done, like twins or triplets. I’m also pretty sure the only people taking cold showers are those poor bastards in the Marines (I know, I was there!) and drunks, though that one not usually by their choice, more of their well-meaning friends. Good masking on the masturbatory comment, BTW. ---

ren, I am having _a day_, too. Mr. Hot-Manual-Labor-Big-and-Dumb-but-Really-Big came into my office and took his shirt off and, as a kind of sick joke, told me to feel his arms. He’s been working out, you see. I have no advice for you. I have been totally worthless at work today. I don’t know if I can walk to my car to get home. ---
