I think I’m gonna’ go with [www.DamnCool.com.](http://www.DamnCool.com.) Does anyone know what goes into getting this thing to work right? I know I need to register it, but the someone has told me I need to get someone to host it on their DNS and that costs money on top of registering it. Is this correct? I have no reason to doubt it, but while we’re at it . . . ---

Lexicon, The problem with [networksolutions.com](http://networksolutions.com) and other sites like it is that in addition to registering and hosting the domain name, they want to set you up with a web site and e-mail and all sorts of other crap I can do for myself. Does anyone have any idea who will do just the minimum? With a one year contract? ---

What I do is just sign up at [webjump.com](http://webjump.com). They take the name you want, give you a 25 meg web space with it all for free, except for registration of the name, $35/year. You get an ad banner at the top of your page. I pay $70 [name registration] for a two year site there with cgi bin, etc. Its great for just letting a site sit for two years. ---

At this point, it looks like I only need to register the domain name. This guy at work who’s into this sort of thing is going to show me how to host my own DNS and/or host one from work. So, now all I need is to register [www.damncool.net](http://www.damncool.net) with IP # 209.100. . . . but that’s top secret until I get the page presentable.
