# I need a recommendation for a better ringtone selector for Android than Tone Selector

Tone Selector keeps resetting my call ringtone (but not my text ringtone) to default; it’s done it like 20 times and I’m _over it_. Can someone suggest a better one for me?

Is there anything specifically wrong or insufficient with the built-in Sounds setting tool, plus the ability to set custom ringtone selections for specific Contacts entries?

Ah. Maybe the original built-in Sound Settings app was overriding Tone Selector. I’ve deleted the latter and we’ll see.
