# I Need a "TIME/DAY/MONTH/" Clock

. . . For an elderly person with short-term memory problems. Is there a company that makes “old people” products like this? I need a clock that shows (preferably in large numbers) something like, “6:49 p.m., WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2003.”
Anynoe know where I can get something like this? Thanks!

I bought an “atomic clock”------accurate to within a second from Sam’s Club about a year ago for $19.95. Battery operated. Fairly large–like a kitchen wall clock.
Gives date, month, day of the week, hours minutes and seconds plus phase of the moon. And you get your choice of 3 languages. Gets a radio signal from Colorado or some place to continuously reset itself for perfect to the second accuracy.
Even resets itself for daylight savings time.
I think atomic clocks are available at a lot of places for about $50. Sam’s Club was just a real good bargain on it.

It also gives you the room temperature.
If Sam’s Club no longer carries them------check out Radio Shack. I’ve seen those multi function atomic clocks on sale there for about $30.

Well, I ordered [this](http://www.eldercorner.com/household/household_ila847640.asp). Utter. Piece. Of. CRAP. Arrived disassembled _and_ broken, I just spent the last few hours trying to put it together. It is getting returned tomorrow and unless they credit me with the $106 I spent, I swear I will track them down and kill their pets.
_Help_. Does anyone know of a calendar clock that _isn’t_ complete drek?

The sooner the better, of course, but “better” rather than “sooner,” I guess. What I really need is a clock that says (digitally, not with those damn flip-cards) “11:11 a.m., WED., DEC. 10.”
Of course, not one that _always_ says that . . .

My kids got me that one for Christmas last year - works fine, no problems since I received it. It’s on my desk as I write.

My grandparents are both in their late 70s (both wear glasses) and they have one of those atomic clocks. It’s placed pretty high at the far end of their kitchen and they can see it real well.

A friend of mine started doing a catalogue type thing, and they had clocks in it. The biggest one that meets your needs is only 3 1/2" X 3 1/2". Too small, I’d think. The above link is not from that catalogue.
