First, just let me say, I don’t _need_ closure. It was just a punchy title for this thread. I think a thread should have a punchy title. A thread titled “Punchy” would be stupid, though. Unless it was about, for example, the Hawaiian Punch guy.
(“Fruit-juicy, fruit-juicy! Hey, hows about a nice Hawaiian Punch?”
“Sure!”

Back to my thread…
What I _did_ want was a little more info on your lives. (Probably not _your_ life, but there you go.) An update as it were. (I like that phrase. “as it were” even if it isn’t gramatically correct. Maybe I should use “as it whirrs”. That could be good too.)

My life? Don’t get me started! Don’t _EVEN_ get me started!! (I hate Molly Shannon. Such is life.)
Update on my life: um… I didn’t iron my shirt this morning (well, OK, I never iron my shirts… I go for the ‘wrinkled English Prof.’ look…). I have next week off, because it’s mid-term week (Huzzah!!! Finally a few days off!!!). The book should be out Monday or Tuesday (THAT will be cool!:D). I made a big old pot o’ chili, and am emitting gaseous vapors from unsavory bits of my anatomy… and **Astrogirl** is less than impressed…
That’s it from here.
(OH! and on another topic, the other day, _AAAAAAALMOST_!! I think you know what I mean, **Rue**!😉 )

Hey, thanks for asking!
Puppy is doing fine (his name is Sigge, btw). He’s growing like crazy, he doubled his weight from 3 pounds to 6 pounds in less than 4 weeks. He’s just about house broken, but his signals for “I want to pee!” and “I want to play!” are the same, so it gets confusing sometimes.
He is a fast learner, he know sit, wait, lay down, fetch and kiss.
He’s also mind boggingly cute. His face is really furry and after he’s slept he’s all flat on one side. And the way he curls up next to me during morning cuddle time is worth any and all wet and cold walks in the rain and storm.

My sister’s wedding was this weekend. She was beautiful. I looked like a schmuck. I hate weddings. Especially when everyone keeps asking me “So, when are you getting married?”

So I’m still in a bit of a bad mood from that. But at least I got her wedding gift done in time. (And I managed to get **lurker** to come with me after all.)

And my indominable Lucy only weighs in at 11 pounds, just so you know I way only kidding since I don’t use smilies.) (I coulda just put “(kidding)” in, but it wouldn’t be the same.)

Oh, the excitement that is my life. Let me see…
My friend Betty gave me two buckets of cuttings that I’m going to plant on the north side of my house under the eaves. We don’t have gutters and the runoff is making a ditch in the yard. These plants should help divert the runoff.
My husband hates his job more and more every day, but he’s not gotten any response from any resumes he sent out, except for the offer of a job in Texas, but we don’t want to move there. So he’s always down and I’m at a loss how to cheer him up.
My idiot Dalmatian is healing from her encounter with a German shepherd that was loose in the neighborhood. She still flinches if I touch her left side, but it’s getting better every day.
We bought a caller-ID unit and I need to get some AAA batteries so I can hook it up.
Yep, it’s a mad whirlwind here, by golly.

Not as bad as they were earlier in the week, but any time I walk down stairs, they still hurt. I’m doing my best to rest and relax them, though.

Ooohh… I’ll play.
My MRI results came in on Tuesday. Good news: ruled out a brain tumor. Woo hoo!! Bad news: it’s looking more and more like MS. A few hours of neuropsych testing at UAB should bring in the final verdict, but there’s no telling when I can get an appointment.
Work is insane. We have a guest speaker coming in today, her plane was cancelled on Tuesday and I had to put up my credit card to get her on another flight. She’d better be worth it, is all I can say.
Got to verbally bitch slap a classmate the other night. That’ll teach her to decide what is and what is not a ‘formal’ religion. 😃
The grader **FINALLY** came out and prepped our house site. It looks nice, and he even leveled off the part where my garden will be. Now if we can just get the mason and framer to call us back…
Last night was the season premiere of West Wing. It was, of course, fantastic. Tonight will be the heralded return of Survivor… which I am ashamed to admit I am **totally** addicted to.
Some time in the next couple of weeks I should be receiving the strips for the quilt I and a bunch of other people are putting together for **Anthony Stewart Head** ’s birthday. I’m the final assembler, which means putting everything together, adding the batting and the backing, and doing the actual quilting. I can’t wait to see how it turns out!
**Fiver** is giving me his **Buffy** and **Angel** tapes when he’s done with them… I’m totally in love. 😃 I emailed **Lindy**.jpgs of my tummy, as he requested, and he hasn’t replied yet. It makes me very sad. ☹ He’s dangerously close to being scratched off my ‘list’.
