I wrote a story on AppleWorks when I owned a mac. At some point, I transfered the file to a zip disk, and from there eventually to my PC. Now I can’t open the file. I’m not sure why, but the file extension is .bin.
Does anyone know what I can do to retrieve the text?

Do you remember compressing it? .bin as in hex bin is a compression format (I think) Download the free unstuffit for Windows and see if that helps.

good luck

If nothing else, e-mail the file to me (if you’re comfortable in doing so). I have a Mac with Appleworks at home, and I can open and send it to you as text or whatever if you want.
