One thing on the Check Engine light, sometimes theyā€™re set to go off after a certain number of miles. This is an ā€œidiot lightā€ to tell you to get your regular maintenance. Had this happen on one car I owned. Found out about the light, and the little reset switch under the dash. ---

**Irishman** , hubbyā€™s old 'Vette was like that. But since this light came on at 108420 miles or so, I donā€™t think itā€™s a periodic thing. Back when I had about 30K miles or so, it had come on for some sensor in the emission system. Iā€™m assuming itā€™s a similar deal now. Iā€™ll find out next week - itā€™s going in the shop on Weds, since weā€™re headed north later today for a long weekend. **tritone** , I can offer you a buncha sympathy, but thatā€™s about it. You donā€™t want my advice and I ainā€™t putting out, soā€¦ How about a sappy ā€œInspirational Thoughtā€ - _Just when you least expect it, that someone special will appear in your life, and then all will be wonderfulness, and then you might get some._šŸ˜ƒ ---
