LurkMeister, honestly, I don’t generally call him about just any inane thing, but for some reason, I needed to share this. Sheesh, if he gets the job in Baltimore, I’m facing two years of doing for myself - dang!!
One thing on the Check Engine light, sometimes they’re set to go off after a certain number of miles. This is an “idiot light” to tell you to get your regular maintenance. Had this happen on one car I owned. Found out about the light, and the little reset switch under the dash.
Irishman, hubby’s old 'Vette was like that. But since this light came on at 108420 miles or so, I don’t think it’s a periodic thing. Back when I had about 30K miles or so, it had come on for some sensor in the emission system. I’m assuming it’s a similar deal now. I’ll find out next week - it’s going in the shop on Weds, since we’re headed north later today for a long weekend.
tritone, I can offer you a buncha sympathy, but that’s about it. You don’t want my advice and I ain’t putting out, so… How about a sappy “Inspirational Thought” - Just when you least expect it, that someone special will appear in your life, and then all will be wonderfulness, and then you might get some.
Now, just as soon as I get through these gnrfnr#@! exams, I’m gonna get me a little black dress, and start going out Saturday nights, and STOP EXPECTING IT!!!
Jus’ wonderin’ why your first thought is to call the doctors’ association about a dead battery? I’m guessing you figure they have the $ to pay the mechanic’s next boat payment.
Unless you meant the American Management Association, in which case, I’m totally lost on this one…
