At the start of Gladiator, the German generals yells at the Romans, “Ihr seid verfluchte hunde!”
What’s the phonetic pronunciation of that?

I believe it’s “eer SEED ver-FLOOK-te HOON-de”. But it’s been a long time since I took German.

SIDE, but make the D sound like DT. Otherwise, good memory!
ETA the K in verfluchte also has that distinctive German ch sound, but close enough.

ZIDE. Initial “s” is voiced in German, so it sounds like English “z”.

The actor shouting the line definitely isn’t a native German speaker. There’s a strong American or English accent. The first link provides the correct pronunciation, though.
