for [Shining](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfout_rgPSA). It’s the best thing about the internet, period. I’ve seen it at least 100 times - seriously, I just now watched it 5 times in a row. That is all. ---

I think this fake [10 Commandments](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1kqqMXWEFs) trailer might have it beat. I agree it is hilarious though. ---

Amazing. The feel-good movie of the seventies! The “Salisbury Hill” and _Shawshank Redemption_ music cues were perfect, as was the voiceover’s cheerful reading of “Shining!” Edited because I was beaten to the Mary Poppins trailer. Bloody hell. Well, [Willy Wonka](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSz-XXBKEv8&feature=related) works too. Although it’s not that much of a stretch – Gene Wilder was purposely going for a creeptastic performance, I think. ---

> [@Argent\_Towers](#): > > I think this fake [10 Commandments](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1kqqMXWEFs) trailer might have it beat. That is very nice. In the trailer for 🙂 _Shining_ 🙂 I like the fast cut of the kiss. It passes quick inspection, but as soon as you remember that it **isn’t** Shelly Duvall it becomes a skin crawler that plays against the music very nicely. ---

[School of Rock](http://quietube.com/v.php/http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGg7KFcZp30) has some convincingly scary bits. [The Princess Bride](http://quietube.com/v.php/http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sf65QE4ZkZw) is no longer a ‘kissing movie’. ---

Someone else has to have seen the [Top Gun](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekXxi9IKZSA) recut trailer. If we are looking for a serious contender to an awesome trailer for a movie done after the fact, it’s the [Once Upon A Time in the West](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K357wy1oU1E) alternative trailer. ---
