I can think of two reasons. It’s untrue, and from what I’ve read of your posts, you’re a genuinely nice person. I’ve read posts where you seemed upset, but you don’t come across as someone who would post, “I’m not reading you’re posts ever again, neener neener!” in a serious way. I doubt a lot of dopers do think you said it, rather, there was a lot of other stuff going on in the thread that people were concentrating on.
As far as the PMS, I’ve cried during an episode of the Simpsons when I felt Bart was being treated unfairly.:o

I’m still trying to figure out in what universe “I said something crappy about someone, then pretended I had made a mistake to cover it up, with malice aforethought” = “I made a mistake.” That’s not a mistake. It’s deliberate malicious misbehavior. She deliberately insulted **Green Bean** and then lied about it. That’s not a _mistake_.
I don’t think it’s remotely surprising that, in her “apology” (whatever) thread, she lied about **Biggirl** as well. I don’t think “It was a typo” is going to fly any more.
Regarding PMS, yeah, it’s totally possible that I’m PMSing now. I’m not going to blame my shittiness toward **FlamX** on that, though. She gets to own that.

**Green Bean** accepted the explanation and apology, and is moving on with her life.

No more PMS, no I have the worst cramps ever. And I’m getting angrier and angrier.
What the fuck is all this “Flammy is so nice, let it go” crap? What, exactly does it mean? Flamster is nice so therefore it is all right for her to tell untruths about Biggirl? Flamster apologized to GreenBean so therefore Biggirl should give her a free ride?
Flamster said something about me that was not true. I have been extremely gentle with her, most people who tell lies about me get a whole new asshole as a return favor. Maybe a few of the Flamster apologists can get her to explain herself instead of making excuses for her.

If I were **BigGirl** (one can always dream), I’d also want an explanation. She was accused of something she didn’t do, and no matter how small and petty YOU may think it was, it’s her right to have an explanantion.
**FlamX** did not make a blanket apology to everyone nor did she explain herself to ALL the people she called out.

I think this thread just came at the wrong time. By the time you started it, the MPSIMS thread had already lost its momentum and the Pit thread that started it all was long gone. People are pretty sick of the whole thing.
Which isn’t to say you don’t have a legitimite beef. You do. But it isn’t enough to revive the waning interest of the folks who are sick of the whole affair. So you are stuck with the supportive-flamey crowd (not that there’s anything wrong with them).
I suppose if you’re dying to know what the dealio is with her off-the-cuff remark including of you, you could e-mail her. But I doubt it will be a heck of a lot more interesting than OP of the **Green Bean explanation…** thread.

I had yet to comment on it because I didn’t know of the existence of this thread, assuming you’re talking about this one, and not the other one. As for making a mistake, it seems that over the last couple of days or so, I have made a few mistakes. (tried to do my best to acknowledge them when I realized I had)
When I make mistakes, I generally try to acknowledge that simple fact, and try to make amends / apologize. Since it’s getting late here, I will read those threads again when I have the time, and then decide on the appropriateness of anyther response in this thread. 🙂
