I didn’t get warned, but in light of the thread so far and past moderator direction, this doesn’t make sense to me: > [@United States and Israel are bombing Iran](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/united-states-and-israel-are-bombing-iran/1028071/572): > > Moderating: This is not the thread to discuss the underlying reasons for what is being called a “war”. This thread is to discuss the actual bombings and actions that are occurring. If you wish to discuss underlying reasons and/or consequences for the bombings (different threads, in my view), please start such threads. Moderator states that this is NOT a breaking news thread, and discussions can range around the subject… > [@United States and Israel are bombing Iran](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/united-states-and-israel-are-bombing-iran/1028071/36): > > Moderating: This is not a breaking news thread, discussions can range around the subject as long as it doesn’t become a distraction like the Market come Monday. Note, no one was even modnoted for that, just asked to stop. ISTM that “why are the US and Israel bombing Iran” is well within the topic (and has been discussed throughout the thread). Why is it now off topic? --- _[View the full topic](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/i-object-to-my-warning-in-united-states-and-israel-are-bombing-iran/1028106)._
