# I object to the way this thread was closed, i.e. the contents of the final post

So now he’s been “[Banned for trolling, misogyny and as a sock](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/mw-degen-gamblr-banned-for-trolling-misogyny-and-as-a-sock/1021029)”

And I’m confused. If he’s known to be a sock, why wasn’t he immediately banned for that? Why all the evidence making the case for him being a troll?
