Well, and as far as the legalities of the government forcing you to purchase insurance, two points; 1\> The Government forces you to purchase clothing. This power is not mentioned in the Constitution, in the Federalist Papers or in any government debate. It isn’t a power assigned to the state. It is only mentioned in law through legal consequences of NOT wearing clothing. 2\> The founding fathers forced sailors to have insurance. Hell, they didn’t even give them a choice or put it in their hands. It was automatically charged to the ships when they arrived in port. This power is also not mentioned in the Constitution. If you are alive, you are going to have health care costs. Therefore you should be insured. While it may be possible to argue that you should have the right to not have insurance and therefore to be completely ineligible for health care, I don’t think you could get anywhere near a majority vote to allow this under any party. Nor should you. ---

All true, but the real issue here is with **HeweyLogan** trying to pretend that this topic has something specifically to do with Obamacare, rather than **Clothahump** ’s lengthy history of bad-faith argument. ---
