Fuck this country. Fuck the tens of millions of voters who decided to put a fascist in charge of this country. Fuck the billionaires who decided they’d make more money with the fascists in charge. Fuck the non-voters who sat on the fence. Fuck those of you who decided to “punish” the Democrats for supporting Israel. Fuck the racists. Fuck those of you who didn’t do enough to speak out against the racists. Fuck the Democratic establishment who would prefer to be a permanent minority because it’s better for their pocketbooks. Fuck the media for pretending that the fascist wasn’t a fascist and wasn’t clearly insane and wasn’t deteriorating mentally before our very eyes. Fuck the pollsters who emboldened the fascist and his supporters. Fuck the pessimists who’ve been declaring for the last year and a half that the fascist would win and there was nothing to be done about it. Fuck the journalists who pretended that our president was too old and infirm. Fuck every single one of you who ran our president out of this race. Fuck the judges who let the fascist off the hook. Fuck the system that refuses to hold the wealthy responsible for their actions. Fuck every single one of you that refused to keep the faith. All of you will soon have the blood of millions of innocent Americans on your hands and God will judge you accordingly. Most of us probably won’t have to wait very long for that once the fascist has his way, but the leopards aren’t going to spare you. ---

I feel like we’re experiencing The Great Filter as it happens. We’re just monkeys with guns and computers and bombs, and every day, in almost every way, we demonstrate it. We cannot learn from history. I have a friend who, inexplicably, votes republican and loves Star Trek. It’s like he watches, but doesn’t see. . .He sees a bright, shining future like Star Trek. I see ashes and an inhospitable world, because we elect people like Donald Trump and we’re happy about it. . .well, a slim majority is. He’ll do worse than ignore global warming - he’ll dismantle anything we’ve done to moderate it, because he’s an idiot contrarian child. He’ll kiss up to strongmen for no good goddamned reason. He’ll fuck Ukraine so that his bestie Putin will give him a smile. He’ll probably just outright tell China that they can do whatever they want with Taiwan, in the middle of one of his ‘weaves’ one day. He’ll weaken NATO and embolden bad actors everywhere. Countries will seize the opportunity to do what they want while dumbass is in charge, and before we know it, there will be another world war. He won’t fire a shot, but it’ll still be his fault. I wonder if he’ll ever understand tariffs. ---
