If you wanted to call out the incongruity between “slight” and “massive” at the time, fair enough, and I’d have owned up to fucking up with the term “slight” there, but you pretending my position has changed and coming here to circlejerk a victory lap is a new low, even for you. ---

I think I get it, maybe a little bit. We disagree strongly, but you do actually see that it was very, very wrong to put the GHF in charge (it’s just not credible that they were the only alternative), and you probably even see, at least a little bit, that the government of Netanyahu and his allies really are damaging the credibility and decency of the IDF and increasing human rights abuses in Gaza and the WB (how could it not?). It’s probably very stressful loving a country and a people so much and constantly having to find ways to rationalize and excuse really awful stuff, even if you don’t think it’s as bad as I do. Anyone in that position is going to make “slip ups” like “slight” to “massive”, and “second worst option” to… whatever it is you’re trying to convince me you believe now. I suppose I sympathize, at least a bit. I expect one day you’ll see the monstrosities that you’ve been defending and excusing and you’ll probably be ashamed. ---

You said they were “just about the second worst option”. Do you really believe that these evangelical Trumpers, with no experience at all in distributing aid, and who were chosen only because they were Trumpers, are anything but incompetent bozos when it comes to aid distribution? ---

Like I said. I said they are bozos. I just don’t like being paraphrased as if that was all I said. I said that they are bozos who are a massive improvement over their intentionally malicious predecessors. If you want to criticize the GHF and their intentionally malicious predecessors I’d agree with you. If you insist on only criticizing the GHF, I will correct you. Because the GHF would never have been there in the first place of UNRWA wasn’t a malicious organization that intends to and benefits from prolonging the conflict and supporting terrorism. ---

I don’t accept the IDF reports about UNRWA, but for this discussion they’re irrelevant. I’ll even presume it’s accurate, for the purposes of the discussion. We agree the GHF are incompetent clowns! If you’re on the train, you’re obviously not there yet.
