I expect it to be extremely clear that his obvious hatred of Jews was obvious before and was not disqualifying. It somehow was not a problem.
Is his position on Palestine motivated by his Jew hatred? Probably. Highly probably even. But the action that was hate speech seems to have been fine and the speech that wasn’t was not. Hate speech is therefore not the issue.
Separately just like I believe a conservative should disavow support from a Neo Nazi, I think Palestinian rights folk should disavow support from this piece of trash (and unless he was doing Fiddler on the Roof that costume is evidence enough of that).
But his being a Jew hater is not why he was dropped.
