You act like he died or was seriously injured. No, he just suffered a minor setback that he can easily afford to fix. And I think it’s fucking ridiculous to demand that people feel sympathy about minor crap for someone who only treats them like shit. And I say that even though I’m on record as saying that I see no reason not to have sympathy for everyone, since it costs so little. I can, in fact, feel a bit sorry for the guy. I can relate to his anger. I hate that any human being has to feel that. Still, I also learned firsthand not to make Pit threads about shit that everyone else is going to think is petty. And I’m not hated nearly as much as Clothahump. I don’t think it’s fair to insist that everyone be nice to someone who treats them like crap. Heck, I’m not sure that doesn’t just reward them. Clothahump sewed his oats by attacking pretty much everyone, so he reaps their anger and mockery. I have no problem if you feel differently. I do–which is why I didn’t attack him. I just reject the idea that these other people are horrible because of it. ---

Wouldn’t be surprised if the “burglar” never really existed in the first place and the window got broken by one of his staff or a student. Too loose of a grip on a nunchuk, for example. ---

I pit burglars, too. But, if the OP is as much of an asshole in real life as he is on the SDMB, I wouldn’t be surprised if someone did it just to piss him off. And, I must say I’m not sure I would really blame them. ---
