This may be the first Pit thread I’ve ever started. I’ve avoided starting them in the past because from my observation, even the most reasonable Pits, such as “I pit the mass murderer who massacred my family on Christmas Eve,” invariably degenerates into “The OP is a moronic jerk who screws goats in public.” But here is something that simply chaps me no end. I pit calendars that run from Monday to Sunday instead of Sunday to Saturday like God intended. I mentioned this about a year ago in someone’s calendar thread, and from the responses it seems these may be rare in the West, but believe me you have to look carefully here, or else you’ll end up with one. I HATE calendars that run from Monday to Sunday. :mad: ---

Why the smeg would you want a calendar that starts on a Sunday? It’s the _weekend_. It’s not normal business hours or anything. The week starts on Monday as far as I’m concerned, and anyone who says otherwise is a Communist. Calendars that begin on Sunday are one of my pet hates, FWIW. Monday is the start of the week in the Western world, despite what anyone might try and tell you. ---

I got a (free) calendar last year that ran Monday to Sunday - I hated it. I’m just not used to looking at a calendar like that, and it was always throwing me off. I support this rant! ---

I remember one year going nuts trying to find a datebook that had weekly pages running from Monday to Sunday. At the time I did a lot of weekend traveling, and I hated having to enter my trips over two separate pages in my datebook. Wall calenders I don’t care so much about, since I mostly use them as reminders of the current day and as decoration. ---

Weekend - the two days that bookend either end of the week ;). My days off are Sunday/Monday, but you’ll never see me starting the calender week on a Tuesday like some kind of ill-mannered guppy. The week starts on Sunday, on the one end of the week and ends on Saturday at the other. Calenders that start on Monday are obviously the work of some international cabal of fascists. Count me in with **Siam Sam** as another one with an entirely oversized and pathetic OCD twitch on this issue :p. ---

Bah, how can people even conceive the idea that weeks start on Sunday? That’s just plain wrong. I’m with **Martini Enfield** on this one. I’ve never even seen a calendar claiming otherwise. ---

Here Sunday is a working day; because Friday is the Muslim holy day, the weekend is Friday-Saturday, and the work week starts Sunday. That took some getting used to. So for me, the week does start on Sunday. But my vote probably doesn’t count, due to special geographical circumstances. Due also, of course, to the fact that I screw goats in public. ---
