[/QUOTE] They could legitimately say “we don’t provide cheques - here’s some companies that will make them for you”. Sounds to me like they’ve made a business decision that with all the companies out there that do make cheques and with the alternatives available to people that don’t happen to have a cheque handy, they are simply not interested in providing that service, but are providing an “out” for customers that are insistent that they have no other option. ---

[/QUOTE] ATMs are akin to a grocery store charging for customers who use self-scan. There is no legitimate purpose for assessing the fee aside from the “Because we can.” one.
