Okay, off you go, sign up, complain about the facilities, use the approprate place to ask for stuff, let me know about any cool graphics you have that would improve the place no end, etc, etc. (I just reviewed how much free time I have in the next few evenings - very little - and quickly fired something up.) ---

It’s cruel and stupid. Back when I was dating (I’m married now) I noticed this. Basically if the woman you had a first date with pressed you for confirmation that you liked her and would call her and would there be another date…the chance of a second date were slim. I know, it’s confusing but I dated enough to notice it. I think it has to do with them really not being into you but wanting to know that you really wanted them. An ego thing or something. I don’t know…but it was there. ---

Not too long ago, at the end of a nice evening with a nice guy, the nice guy took out his cell phone. “Are you going to give me your number?” he asked. I coughed it up; he typed it in. “Do you want me to use it?” “Sure,” I said. It took about a week for me to realize he wasn’t going to call. To be fair, he never said he was _going_ to call, he just asked if I _wanted_ him to. (Yes, I realize I should have gotten his number. Had my phone battery not died, I would have asked for it.) (Yes I realize I should always carry a pen in my purse so that I don’t always need to save numbers directly to phones with short-lived batteries.)
