Yup. That’s pretty much is MO. He doesn’t know something but rather than just keep his mouth shut, he googles it and finds the first answer that pops up. He won’t read the whole cite, but believes he’s an expert and argues endlessly. So, his correcting you, a native speaker of German is what we would expect. He has zero knowledge but he’s got to say something and then will dig his heels in forever. ---

The guy in the song becomes his own grandpa when his dad married his step-daughter, which makes her his step-mother, making him his step-mother’s step-father and himself his own step-step-grandfather. So I suppose if one’s father remarried and then died, and they married their step-mother, they’d now sort of be their own step-father? I don’t know, I’m not a stepologist. ---
