I try to give one of our most valuable posters a compliment, and the subject of this thread, inveterate asshole that he is, swoops in to shit on it with some incoherent gibberish. Not content with that, he’s back to bickering in the ATMB thread about acronyms, which thread might have yet led to further useful discussion but might now likely be closed because of pointless bickering caused by said asshole. ---

So, idiot is back to his old tricks again. Same reason I put him on ignore last time. Makes up shit I didn’t say and starts needling me over it. He’s back on ignore again. I only took him off when he’d talked about changing his ways. Now I can’t wait for his eventual permaban. This is in the “imbecile” thread in ATMB, appropriately enough. ---

I had one person who was claiming I said the opposite of what I said, and when I pointed it out with a quote, they backed down, no big deal. DD though just keeps needling, based partially off the first person’s misinterpretation, except DD just kept it up. I felt myself coming close to insults, reminded myself it wasn’t the Pit, and tried to do my best to defend myself without it getting personal. That was difficult for me. It was frustrating. I think DD is probably trolling, I don’t think at all that Locust was, I think that was just a simple misunderstanding. I should have just put DD on ignore before my last post but didn’t think of it until afterward. It takes a lot before I do that. I only have 4 people on my list. All of them have dedicated Pit threads. ---

At some point, the difference being troll and a pedantic jackass who can’t let things drop is a distinction without sufficient difference. Which is more or less the purpose of the ‘more trouble than they’re worth’ rule DD hasn’t crossed that line, in my mind, but is certainly a jackass a good portion of the time ---
