Unfortunately for me, there’s a reason I _don’t_ have him on ignore. History, particularly military history, is something I have a passion for and actually care about. @DrDeth is a plague on any discussion involving those - well, he’s a plague on any discussion period, but that’s where I usually cross paths with him. I have never met a poster more consistently and aggressively factually wrong who hasn’t been banned. As an illustration, last month the thread in FQ [Could the Japanese have used alternative carriers during the Battle of Midway? - #26 by Telemark](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/could-the-japanese-have-used-alternative-carriers-during-the-battle-of-midway/953509/26) was bumped after 2 years. Mr Deth posted three times “correcting” the facts of other posters. He was factually wrong every single time.
