My navel is on my waist… _checks_ yup. Right there. Maybe it’s a non-standard thing, like when my uncle needed to buy a suit in San Francisco and was told there wasn’t anything for him because he “wasn’t standard”? His response was along the lines of “it’s not my mother’s fault if you freaks think people are gingerbread men.”

I think I’ll go start a poll. Yay, my first poll!

Not necessarily. I hate the tendency toward empire waists on What Not to Wear but sometimes it really is, as they say on there, “the narrowest part of \<the individual they are dressing\>”.
