Her name is pronounced zhay-lynn.

I had seen a couple of episodes, and my interest in it was re-piqued when my local PBS affiliate aired a program that was filmed about 5 years ago called “All Of Me”, about a group of morbidly obese women, and Zsalynn was in it. I had remembered the name, and at the end of the program, it said that Z. had signed up for a reality show.

Most of the women who discussed why they became so obese said it was linked to sexual abuse, with one exception, and that woman lost her mother in a car accident when she was 6 years old.

Several years ago, I saw another program about a man who weighed over 1,000 pounds and First Responders had to cut a wall out of his house to get him out. :eek: He had bariatric surgery too, and as he lost the weight, he became increasingly verbally abusive towards his wife (yes, he had one!) and would have been physically abusive too if he’d been capable of it. :frowning: The wife reminded me of those women who seek out and marry prisoners.

I think I’ve seen this one! Was it a British documentary of an American couple? One scene that I remember in particular featured one of the production crew asking the lady about the amount of junk food that was still in the house…she started to answer, only to be interrupted when her husband came lumbering into the room and started bellowing about their groceries, and how they were only buying healthy things now (as the camera panned around the room and zoomed in on soft drinks, chip bags, etc.).
