What is reality? What is evil? Why don’t you express your political and philosophical views better? Why are you sugar coating things? What do you mean that people need to wake up to “reality”? You seem to be divided with your views. Aren’t all belief systems evil? Doesn’t a jackbooted dictator, by definition, lack a belief system?

Reality is truth, or the state of things as they actually are, as opposed to how they may appear to be or are believed to be. Evil is the intention of causing harm, destruction, or suffering and to do so without guilt. I mean, really, do we have to define common words for you to follow all this?

I am not divided in my views and have no idea what could confuse you so. No, all belief systems are not evil. That’s just a stupid thing to say and tells me you’re an idiot. And finally, no, a jackbooted tyrant does not of necessity lack a belief system. Hitler had his religious beliefs and his cultural beliefs. So did Mussolini, Pol Pot, the Ayatollah, etc. In fact, most tyrants must have some fanatical belief system to empower them.

As for sugar coating things, what are you crazy? Where have I sugar coated anything? I don’t believe in sugar coating anything.

I have you pegged for the type of forum troll who simply picks at people with inane questions in an attempt to aggravate. So your next post to me better have some serious substance to it.

Perhaps you should actually read about [the AKP](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justice_and_Development_Party_(Turkey)). It would be more accurate to call it the “pro-freedom” and “anti-state repression” party than a “terror group”, and it most certainly is not a part of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah’s current position in the Lebanese government came from coalition building with non-Shi’a parties. It can no more turn Lebanon into a Shi’a state than it can turn the United States into a caliphate. The groups that oppose it in the March 14 Coalition are largely Muslim (Sunni).

Hamas’s electoral victory in Palestine reflects only a [bare plurality of votes](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinian_legislative_election,_2006); and it’s the main opposition party, one would hope that it would occasionally win an election.

We have a thread about Islam and terrorism about once every other day on the Dope. There simply is no backing for this statement. Until its defeat a couple years ago, the (very much not Muslim) LTTE was by far the most active and brutal terrorist organization on the planet. For centuries, Islam was among the most progressive religions on Earth, and its adherents today vary from very conservative to very liberal, and from very violent to very peaceful.

You clearly have no understanding how the Muslim Brotherhood operates, and are undoubtedly are an “internet scholar” who delights in posting links to dry facts without understanding the reality behind them.

Nice quotes there, but those in the know who study the matter understand that Hezbollah basically controls Lebanon de facto. Maybe you should dig a little deeper than just Wiki posts and try understanding the complexity of the situation.

Sorry I don’t have time to educate you in the nuances of Middle Eastern politics. Go do the research. Hezbollah is more powerful than the Lebanese army. They do not rule openly, but rather by proxy. It’s complicated, probably beyond your ability to comprehend.

No, one would hope that they could manage to vote in a non-terrorist party. Hamas, Fatah,PFLP - they’re all terrorist groups. Doesn’t matter which one they voted in, each are terrorists.

> [@](#):

Really? Then either put up or shut up. I stated that Islam causes more terrorism and destruction than even Satanism. Prove me wrong, or shut up. There have been 16,799 deadly terrorists attacks committed by Muslims since Sept. 11th, 2001 (as reported here: [http://thereligionofpeace.com/](http://thereligionofpeace.com/)).

Show me ONE act of terrorism committed by a Satanist. And unless you can show me that Satanists have committed 16,800 acts of terror, my claim stands unrefuted…Islam is more evil than Satanism. Hell, show me 16,799 acts of terrorism committed in that same time frame by all other belief systems combined.

Ah, but you can’t do that, now can you? You can only impotently claim that I am wrong, but you can’t back your claim.

> [@](#):
>
> Until its defeat a couple years ago, the (very much not Muslim) LTTE was by far the most active and brutal terrorist organization on the planet.

Ah, the old Tamil Tiger card. Which does nothing to refute my claim. LTTE was active in Sri Lanka, where it was part of what was essentially a civil war. It generally did not engage in international terrorism. And LTTE was one of the 5% of terrorist groups I mentioned earlier that are NOT Islamic, which means you agree with me. So what you’re doing is pointing to one group that was part of the 5% of non-Muslim terrorist groups and pretending that you’ve refuted my statement that Islam constitutes 95% of all terrorist groups when in fact you’ve proven no such thing. The fact that they committed acts of terror against Muslims very much softens any criticism I might have of them, by the way.

The LTTE committed 168 suicide bombings in the 20 year period from 1980 to 2000, many if not most of them against military targets. In the mere 10 years since Sept. 11, Muslims have committed 16,799 deadly acts of terror. There is no comparison.

> [@](#):
>
> For centuries, Islam was among the most progressive religions on Earth, and its adherents today vary from very conservative to very liberal, and from very violent to very peaceful.

The Muslims stole credit for things they claimed to have invented. They claimed to have invented coffee, which is false (according to the legend propagated about this, it was an Orthodox Christian). They claimed to have invented chess, when in fact it was Zoroastrian Persians who invented it. They claim to have invented Unanni medicine and it was claimed as the finest of its time, when in reality it was a watered down, bastardized version of the Indian Ayurvedic tradition, stolen when they invaded India. They claim to have invented algebra, when in fact it was being used thousands of years earlier by the Babylonians. Even the numbering system of mathematics is Indian in origin and only referred to as Arabic because it was transmitted to the west by Arabs. And we can go on and on.

Its adherents today are either terrorists, condone terror, or in the best case scenario simply do not endorse it, but still fail to stand against it. And its history is one of violence, from its very earliest days. Need I mention Mohammed’s violent massacre of the Banu Qurayza? How about Khaybar? And don’t give me any Wiki nonsense about how Jews flourished under Islamic rule, because I’ll bitch slap you with it.

> [@](#):

> “Leading sponsor of terrorism on the planet”? Cite? “Muslims are sneaky”? Care to cut the bigotry? And provide a cite?

Iran is the font of terror from which most major terrorists come. It’s the core source of funding for Hamas and Hezbollah, the two largest and most advanced terrorist groups of our day. Hezbollah was created as an offshoot of the Iranian military. Anyone who studies the middle east knows about this. You can do a simple Google search to get yourself up to par on the basics, then dive right into books by Robert Spencer, Daniel Pipes, and others. Better for you to learn on your own rather than ask me to post links which you will simply dismiss for any number of reasons (“I just don’t believe it!”, “Oh, that’s a biased Jewish site!”, etc). People either know the truth or they decide to remain ignorant of it. Do the work on your own like I did.

Here is a good place to start your search for the truth:

And from that site:

Wrong again. I’m all for freedom for Muslims as long as they renounce their religion of death. Given the fact that whenever Muslims gain power through voting they vote in terrorist groups, and given the fact that all Islamic states are centers of terrorism, terror training, and terror funding, it is only fair to the rest of the world that we suppress (violently if need be) their murderous, violent tendencies in order to protect ourselves.

See, I’m being totally tolerant and fair. If Islam would simply excise the call for violence from their death cult, truly renounce their desire for a worldwide caliphate of enforced conversion to Islam, and stop committing terrorism, then sure, I’d welcome them with open arms as I would any other non-violent religion. But Islam is not a religion. It was not created as any other religion was. It is unique in that it was created by its own self-declared “prophet”, and tinkered together from pieces of other pre-existing religions and folklore in order to enable a pedophile rapist warlord to conquer his fellow tribal savages. If any of this is untrue, please try to prove me wrong.

> [@](#):
>
> Yup, Muslims are monsters. Beautiful. Just beautiful.

Yeah, they are. Muslims call for a worldwide Islamic caliphate, attained by the use of terror and conversion by the sword (to Islam). Muslims practice slavery. Muslims commit 95% of all terrorist acts. Fully 9 out of 10 wars currently being fought involve Muslims on one side or the other (or both!). I’ve noticed that you’ve tip-toed around those facts, and all the other facts about the inherent violence rampant in Islam. What are you so afraid of?

> [@](#):
>
> Considering how many of your facts are wrong, this is a slightly hypocritical call to arms.

None of my facts are wrong. Which of my facts have you disproven? None of them. I stated a claim that Islam is violent and showed that most terrorism is committed by Islam. You did not refute it. I stated how many acts of terror Islam has committed since 9/11 and you have not refuted that either. I’ve stated how Islam has committed more acts of terror than any other “religion” and in fact more than every other belief system on earth (4,300 combined belief systems) and you have not refuted that. In response, you made the token effort of naming the Tamil Tigers, which does nothing to refute by claims but rather validates them.

You doubted my claim about Iran being the font of terrorism and I schooled you on that as well.

In short, I have refuted everything you’ve posted and backed every claim I’ve made. You have refuted none of my claims. So stop blowing your trumpet and pretending you’ve won, when in reality you’ve lost. Hell, you didn’t even play! You’re disqualified by default!

> Like their counterparts elsewhere in the Islamic world in general, the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood has influenced the Tunisia’s Islamists. One of the notable organization that was influenced and inspired by the Brotherhood is Al-Nahda (The Revival or [Renaissance Party](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renaissance_Party)), which is Tunisia’s 2nd major Islamist grouping after [Hizb ut-Tahrir](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hizb_ut-Tahrir). An Islamist named Rashid Ghannouchi founded the organization in 1981. While studying in Damascus and Paris, Rashid Ghannouchi embraced the ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood, which he disseminated on his return to Tunisia.

Hello? Are you doped up or something? Do you understand how Islamic organizations work? Try going and doing some research on the PLO, Black September, ANO, Fatah, Al Asqa Martyrs Brigade, PFLP, DFLP, Hamas, and others and look at their interconnectedness. Islamic terror is like a hydra…it keeps sprouting more and more new heads, but it’s part of one entity. Each terror group has a “political wing”, a financial wing, etc, and each spawns its own sub-group. If I could show you a chart of terrorist group connections (who spawned whom, etc) it would read like a bowl of spaghetti!

So yes, Muslim Brotherhood is stirring up trouble in Tunisia under another name. To-ma-to, to-mah-to. Boy are you ignorant and naive! What a combo!

I did prove it, you simpleton! 16,799 acts of terrorism by Muslims since 9/11. 95% of all terror groups are of Islamic origin. Virtually every war currently being waged involves Islam. I made a declarative statement, I backed it up, and when idiots said I was wrong I challenged them to refute the facts I posted. Only one or two people even made an attempt, on either of the threads I’ve been posting in.
