I pit inexperienced Presidents who don't know what they are doing

Ads is a proponent of the “Big Lie” school of argument.

Because he can’t admit the real things to criticize are real things to criticize. The RW has been strangely silent about drone-strikes, indefinite detentions, even NSA spying.

Jimmy Carter, f’rinstance.

This thread reminds me of the Obama v McCain election. I felt that Obama’s inexperience really showed in that he had no real economic plan and no real gravitas or connections to work with the House and Senate*. Basically his entire plan was, “I’m not Bush.”** When I pointed out my concerns in discussions about the election the responses were pretty universal as, “You’re a racist.”

I’m glad to see on SD that that is not the stock response (anymore?). Now if we can just convince the Dems on board that their vitriol and lies were just as unreasonable and unfounded against Bush as they accuse Pubs as slinging to Obama …

  • Which I think the Pubs realized and is the reason for the stonewall strategy knowing Obama has no Pub markers to call in Congress. Whether that is a good strategy is a different issue.
** Admittedly an effective to win the Presidency and Nobel Prize.

They’re in a bind. They want to approve of such things but that would mean agreeing with Obama. And that just isn’t done.

McCain admitted he didn’t know much about the economy - a hell of an admission for someone who’d been a senator for 20 years - and this thing about working with Congress is still generally bullshit. Other than that, this is spot on.

In what star date did the wormhole open up that led you to fall into the universe you described above? Are you transmitting from there or did you make it back to our reality at some point?

Yeah ralph is teh stooopid huh hurp durr!!! Cuz nobody – NOBODY – with two brain cells to rub together could POSSIBLY find fault with ANYTHING President Obama has said or done. Ever. ANY objection whatsoever is nothing more than teh stooooopids parroting what Faux News tells them to. Right? AMIRIGHTORWHAT!!!

But seriously El_Kabong, the fact that you don’t get the reference or implication of “Cook County politician” means you clearly know very little about Obama or his background. Yet you probably voted for him anyway.

Ah yes, another conservative who’s about to tell us the real truth about Obama the machine politician. If this story goes viral, his re-election bid is toast.

Step 1: mock over the top generalizations that nobody has ever in fact made.

Step 2: suggest Cook County politicians are all dirty.

Step 3: Fail to see irony.

Step 4: Go away and never come back.

Which part do you disagree with? That Obama supported in bars would accuse me of being racist because I didn’t think he would make a good president?

That Democrats (including those on SD) have not been absurb in their criticism of Bush2 wherein legitimate concerns on his presidency was lost in the noise of, “He don’t speak so goodly. Strategery! Ha Ha Ha.”?

I’m thinking you missed just how nonsensical ralph’s attempted criticism’s were Bananas… But if you think they’re spot on, head on up to the mountain top and preach it brah.

Then we’d have two crack pots to laugh at. ( Hey, I enjoy variety… )

Already taken care of.

That’s some power you folks have there. You wouldn’t happen to be Cook County politicians, by chance?

Like any sensible person would trust me with real power.

“Sensible”? You’ve not been to Chicago, I take it?

Hey, you got my vote!

QED

What’s so charming about right-wing idiots is their disability to grasp shades of gray. Increase the minimum wage from $8 to $9? “Why not increase it to $100?” Et cetera. Observe the behavior of cockroaches or banana slugs: Even they have more sense of nuance than that.

Speaking of banana slugs, when sentient Americans complain about jackass-stupid remarks brayed against Obama dawn-till-dusk, we’re caricatured as brooking no dissent at al:

I think there’s a fair chance that Banana is just a parodying troll. Either way, keep him around please! He’s more amusing than Ralph or Humpy.

But if we don’t ban him, he won’t be able to go back to his usual stomping grounds to tell them all about how he showed those mean ol’ libtards who’s boss and how we had to ban him because we couldn’t refute his powerful arguments. He’s probably happier this way.
