Oh dear, is it the ‘homosexual rape jibe’ time already? I think some of you might have watched one too many episodes of “Oz”! In the two threads I linked, there is no other word to describe your actions other than trolling. Unfortunately, good and valuable members of this board allowed your smug, irritating tone to upset them enough that the mods descended on _them_. Nothing pleases a troll more than getting someone else in trouble, so I’m sure you’ve read and re-read those posts with undiminishing pleasure. In any future gun-related threads where you show your face, I will make it a point\_via PM\_to discourage anybody from falling for your trolling. DNFTT is one of the oldest adages in the cyber world and it is just as valuable today as it was back in the usenet days. ---

If you were someone with whom I vehemently disagreed on a given topic, but whom I believe to be a fundamentally good-hearted and honest person, then that would be possible. Take **Kalhoun** for example. She and I are on opposite sides of the gun argument. Her posts, however much I may disagree with them, are honest attempts to articulate her beliefs on that topic. I don’t dislike her. Nor does my disagreement with her make her a troll, IMO. Your posts, on the other hand, serve no higher purpose than making you the center of attention and causing strife. You are the very type specimen of a troll. You seem to be trying to build a sort of “lovable rogue” persona for yourself. Whether that is the effect you are trying for or not, the persona you are succeeding in building is that of a smug, trolling, prick. ---
