In slight defence of **Ivan** , the level of emotion that the gun debate engenders is something of a novelty to those of not from your shining shores. If you are bored, sitting at home at your computer, there is almost a magnetic attraction to stick your oar in. The thought that anyone could think differently to us commie liberals in Europe and elsewhere, is too distracting and fascinating a possibility. And then when you make a point that every adult member of your nation / continent would unhesitatingly agree with, and it gets argued against vehemently, then the attraction just grows stronger. It’s like Alice going through the looking glass. So whilst **Ivan** may be skirting trolldom in those threads (I really can’t be arsed to even begin to read them), I can understand how he might be sucked into the black hole. **PM** ’s analysis is part-correct; this is a novelty to me. You guys may have rehashed these tired old points over and over, but does that mean I have to read every previous gun thread and only make observations that haven’t been made? ---

Before you trashed two gun threads in a row, I\_like catsix\_didn’t pay any particular attention to you. Now, I’ve had a chance to study your style in 3 threads and it isn’t difficult to see where things are going. ---

Actually, I never even claimed to have a style. I just make my comments as and when they suit, without any real intent other than they express my thoughts at that moment, and are intelligible.
