I think he just says that to court controversy, I doubt he is a Donald Trump supporter at all. Again he ranted about Beyonce and Jay-Z, THAT IS the real story here. My hunch is he secretly wishes Beyonce were his wife. GASP!! ---

If anyone wants a laugh at how out of touch I am, I thought that Kanye West and Jay Z _were_ the same person, just that he changed his name. My wife gently pointed out that I probably meant Puff Daddy and P-Diddy. At which point I realised that I thought that was two entirely different people. I rescued my street cred by knowing that Snoop Dog changed his named and added a “lion” in there somewhere but at least he had the decency to keep the same christian name. Plus I admit I was going to say that I know Ice-cube and Ice-T are different people even thought they do share a christian name…but I’ve spolied it rather by having to google it just to be sure. I am not an expert on rap musicians. ---

That’s nothing. I used to think that Kanye West and renowned academic _Cornel_ West were the same person. To be fair, that would have been cool, wouldn’t it? ---

Thing is, I’m not sure where I’d ever come into contact with his face or his music. The news sites I visit don’t plug him, I mostly listen to BBC radio 4 or 5, perhaps BBC6 or Classic FM. I PVR my TV and don’t really read newspapers or magazines. It isn’t surprising I don’t know him and his ilk. (and seeing as you mention her, I do know the name Taylor Swift and know she’s an american singer but don’t really know what genre or what she looks like or what the name of any of her songs are…I guess I really am an Old Fart now) ---

You actually know more about Mr. West than I do. I try to avoid celebrity news in general, and anything dealing with his wife’s clan specifically. That said, one of his songs sampled King Crimson’s _21st Century Schizoid Man_, and that is the only reason I know a KW song, though even now the name of the song escapes me.
