So quite few years ago, the Gay Men’s Chorus of LA was going to a conference in Florida. The director of the chorus, a somewhat clueless gentleman, was reading some of the rules and regulations. He came upon one rule: “It says here that men are not to wear thongs on the beach.” The guy looks up, and in all seriousness said to the group, “I wonder why they don’t want us to wear flip-flop shoes on the beach there?” The chorus burst out laughing and someone had to explain another meaning of the word “thong”. ---

No man should wear a thong, ever. This article of clothing is simply unflattering to every man, period. 1. It accentuates the buttocks. Men are not supposed to draw attention to buttocks. Buttocks are a highly attractive thing on a female. On a man? Ugh. 2. The junk up front. A thong invariably shows too much detail on the key male organs. Nobody wants to see this. Period. 3. Men are inherently dirtier than women. Does anyone really want to think about what that thong on a man is in contact with? Or what it smells like? Ugh. 4. Hair. I’ll give the men who wax entirely a pass on this one. But most of the rest of us don’t wax. I hate every single thing about the idea of body hair displayed on a man wearing a thong. /Male. //Would wear a dress before I ever wore a thong. ---

1. Personally, I don’t want to see a woman wearing a thong, women do nothing for me. 2. Speak for yourself. 3. I don’t kow this to be true. Certain men look delish in thongs just as certain women do. Where I go to swim in nature there are often completely naked people. It’s a silly thing to be disgusted/disturbed by. ---

I resent the huge baggy pants style because the whole point of jeans is to showcase a nice butt, and those young men are toned and firm where it counts. ---
