Mm, yeah. Just as people have different opinions, there are also different things that are “okay” (for varying definitions of “okay”) for different people. Me, I had a whole ton of premarital sex as well as a lot of illegal drinking prior to age 21. Seriously, my drinking actually dropped off after I hit 21. These days I am happily married and have been with my husband for 23 years, plus my liver is quite healthy and I am a light to moderate social drinker. So, go me and my opinion!
And yeah, don’t ever cite Yahoo Answers. Seriously, you’re scraping the bottom of the barrel on cites here. You’re just reposting someone else’s opinion. Find me some peer-reviewed studies in major scientific journals showing that dating causes major harm and you’re getting closer to having something resembling a point.

Is it just me or does the OP sound like the Nigerian who just inherited a million dollars and only needs you to send 10,000 so he can get it out of the country.
The tone, language, and everything else seems to be spot on from those emails.

Your opinion/religion is stuck in the 18th century. I, and almost all of my friends, had sex as minors with zero negative effect on our lives. Plenty of positive effects, though.

Why do you think people should wait til they’re married to have sex?
Think of this as a school exercise. Come up with some good, well-reasoned answers about why people shouldn’t have sex until they’re married. Your answers shouldn’t rely on religion, because that isn’t universal. Come on–what would you say if this was an essay for school? If you say you’d look to Yahoo Answers, I got news for you: you ain’t getting in to MIT.

Good answer! I could certainly come up with an essay with well-reasoned answers on why people SHOULD have sex before marriage.

Yup. Don’t see anything wrong with it at all as long as they’re taking precautions. Sexual activity is both hardwired into us, and perfectly healthy as long as you’re sensible. It is also very good for the species as a whole.
Religion, on the other hand, has a terrible track record for its effect on humanity. At the very least we should try to shelter minors from its terrible, damaging effects. I think we should ban anyone under the age of 18 from being exposed to it. That way they may grow up to be happy, healthy, horny little bastards without suffering from any of the renowned mental and logical issues that are often seen in the devout.
