Because of certain events over the past nine months, I have been through some profound changes and have rediscovered my Christian faith. That made me realize that I have been a member of this board for a fairly long time and over the course of the years I have been viciously rude to several members. Specifically: About 10 or 12 years, I wished death to Monty in a thread that inspired the rule: “Do not threaten harm or wish death on another poster.” Monty, what I said was inexcusably rude and I humbly beg your forgiveness. If you choose not to give it, I don’t blame you in the slightest. Last summer, in one of the threads about the U.S. intervention in Libya, I insulted Shayna, Bricker, Starving Artist, and quite possibly several other posters. I beg your forgiveness. I don’t apologize for my political opinions, but I do apologize for insulting you. If there is anyone else out there that I have been rude to (I’m sure there is, but at age 52 my memory ain’t what it used to be and I cannot remember any more names), I apologize and promise I will try to be a much more considerate poster in the future. Please feel free to flame me all you like. ---

I undoubtedly took it in stride, but I certainly appreciate the thought that led to this post of yours, and thank you in turn for it. And of course I’m pleased to hear that your faith has found you. The Holy Spirit moves in ways that are difficult to understand, and this week, as we think back to the resurrection of Christ, is an excellent time to reconnect with the faith that is within us and the sacrifices He made for us. The OP said that Christian faith had been rediscovered, and was involved in the starting of this thread; so a big 'ol KICK ME sign on the back might possibly be the desired result. ---

You are apologizing for being a rude anus after rediscovering your Christian faith, right? That means you had it once before, then turned into a rude anus, right? Now you are returning to the very same Christian faith that turned you into a rude anus before, right? I predict a sanctimonious anus will be the result. ---
