I kinda get it how others may get a gut reaction like this in the sense that Americans do get far more upset about these little tragedies than other countries, while at the same time ignoring the problems of other countries more than is reasonable. This can lead to schaudanfreude from inhabitants of other places. (See 9/11 versus IRA/ETA/etc for an excellent example of this) **BUT** Those are disgusting sentiments to hold once you’re actually capable of looking at things like a human being. **Sympathy/empathy should not depend upon the sympathy/empathy you yourself would be given** There are people here who have lost lives, livelihoods, And if your only beef is genuinely with the fucking architecture of the city - you’re an idiot or a troll. This thread is expressed and timed like a twat is behind it and **the timing and expression matter to human beings**. So to recap: If everyone was a robot, then there is nowt wrong with this thread. Since no one is a robot (so far as I can tell) this is very silly and given your only other thread (which I took in good faith mostly cause I mistook you for someone else) you are pwned boi. ---

People like FOTD should move to Haiti and try to make a life there. Fear, corruption, lack of opportunity, continual natural disasters (Sandy also dealt another severe blow to Haiti). Start from the bottom of the social totem pole with everything going against you and see how far you can drag your miserable ass. Make sure your skin is blacker than black and you have a physical or mental deformity. See how far you get in a place like that, you fuckwad. Then pass judgement on everyone else. To you, dimwit, NY is not in ruins just like it was not in ruins after 9/11. It suffered a blow but will recover which is something you could never do if you took a blow to the head. Of course, your brain is probably too small and your skull is too thick to be damaged by wind, rain or storm surge. But then, you are probably little bigger than a fly so you will just get stepped on and crushed. Tell us about the Nirvana you live in that is so much better. You’ve trolled, you got a response.
