Note this isn’t remotely the first time NB has had difficulty figuring out that maybe, just maybe they don’t have a good handle on what it is like to be black, or [trans](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/stonewall-risks-all-it-has-fought-for-in-accusing-those-who-disagree-with-it-of-hate-speech/943702), or some other marginalized group. Stuff like suggesting that [telling racists that they are being like racists is going to get Donald Trump re-elected](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/a-mystery-why-people-accept-trump/847565/34) and [maybe we shouldn’t do things like that](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/non-racist-trump-voters-wondering-why-theyre-getting-shit-about-racism/771963/11). Somebody who [doesn’t see the point of a Black History Month](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/attention-white-people-its-black-history-month-think/745036/8) in the US. That the propensity to call people racist is a serious problem and counterproductive. Who [didn’t see much racism at all](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/racism-in-the-uk-rears-its-ugly-head-again/833717/2) in the treatment of Meaghan Markle. NB has plenty of good posts and is not at all a detriment to the board but we all have our blind spots.
