If you are talking about the traffic circle hysteria one, I saw that. I didn’t want to go highjack that, because it wasn’t actually about anything important. I do not get my jollies by scolding people for their language in general – but in the context of this thread, you are shooting yourself in the foot. Sure, you are wrong to insult your political allies and dismiss their concerns by referring to them as “hysterical”. To the extent you have a valid point about how best to defeat Trump, you would be far better served by finding common ground with your allies and encouraging them to lobby in more effective ways. It’s not about this claim or that fear. It’s about your going out of your way to insult your allies. ---

As for finding common ground, I’d have a difficult time doing that. As I noted, people are putting forth mutually conflicting positions. I can’t agree with what one group is saying without disagreeing with what another group is saying by doing so. I also strongly disagree with the final thing you wrote. I have been repeatedly insulted in this thread. But I have gone out of my way to remain polite and not insult anybody. The fact that some people feel that they have been insulted doesn’t mean I insulted them. ---

In my humble opinion, some of the claims you’ve dismissed are more realistic than others. But no, it’s not about whether you think they are realistic. It’s about insulting and demeaning your potential political allies. And dismissing someone’s fears as hysterical is absolutely insulting and demeaning. As any number of posters have pointed out. ---
