The problem is that genocide is always, eventually on the offing. In 1923 an earthquake hit Tokyo. Their response: kill every Korean they could lay hands on. As if they’d somehow caused it. What with climate change accelerating, and the scarcity of resources that promises; and the failures of the current economic system, it’s a sure thing that people in the millions will see killing those other types to be the swift and sure answer. ---

Their plans take place in an environment where all Republicans are also opportunistic on how they are avoiding any responsibility on their attempts of drowning the government in the bathtub. A lot of the fight should be at the local levels, so give ideas and volunteer for your local Democratic candidates. ---

No, he’s not stopping me from fighting Trump. But I was already fighting Trump. As for other people who might potentially join the fight, I don’t know. You don’t know. But let’s assume there are some people who have heard about Trump sending troops into American cities and having masked policemen grabbing people off the streets and thought “That doesn’t sound right somehow.” So they look around but have the misfortune to have somebody “explain” that this is all part of Trump’s master plan to start a nuclear war with Mexico so he can kill all the brown people. Do you think these people are going to say “Well, that makes sense”? Or are they going to say that the people who oppose Trump are obviously a bunch of lunatics? ---

In this case, you’re asking me about an issue I’ve already responded to in this thread. Which means I’ll be repeating myself again in this post. The argument you presented, if I’m following it correctly, is that Trump and the Republicans may be laying the groundwork for genocide by their actions today. My response is that this is another reason why we should be fighting those actions that Trump and the Republicans are doing today. We should be fighting those actions because they are wrong in and of themselves. And we should also be fighting them because those actions might create the possibility of genocide. ---
